BY STRUCTURAL TYPE

The structural types differ mainly in the type of air spring used, but some technical details are not directly discernible from a picture.

The pictures below show only the macroscopic differences of the various versions.

standard

STANDARD

To speak of a standard version in heavy transport can be an understatement. In fact, those in the industry are well aware of the enormous range of cases that transport presents, so standard truck air spring versions are often just trade names. Subdividing the category further into medium- and long-haul transport, versions are offered for each vehicle depending on the size of the vehicle. The standard version is not a synonym for “common” but essentially depends on the specific type of transport and size of the vehicle, making the choice of an ah-hoc spring based on the characteristics of the vehicle and its use, the result of more than 25 years of experience in the sector and 1200 special projects carried out since 1991.

Reinforced

REINFORCED

Building on the experience with commercial vehicles, it was necessary to expand the range for transport vehicles. The reinforced versions for industrial vehicles originate from specific case studies, using air springs of a larger size than the similar standard versions, but which do not always share the same construction scheme due to the limited space available on the vehicle, which necessitates a design that allows not only for the positioning of a “larger” spring but also for its working conditions. Reinforced versions have often replaced standard versions. Many customers have registered the reinforced product as their standard staff. This variant offers a greater adjustment range than the similar basic version, containing the overall dimensions and making it possible to have higher air spring axle capacities of the 80% than the standard system by modulating the adjustments.

BY TYPE of inflation

All heavy-duty vehicle systems make use of the air already present in the vehicle.

The design of the pneumatic system is carried out with a view not only to minimise air consumption, but especially of preserve the safety of the vehicle. In the event of a problem with the pneumatic system, the air spring system is automatically excluded, leaving compressed air available for the vehicle's safety purposes.

ELECTRICAL

Electric

Electric adjustment allows the air spring pressure to be controlled directly from the cab via a dedicated control, supported by a control gauge. This system is available for front axle applications, where the position of the driver's seat, located directly above the suspension unit, allows the effects of the adjustment to be felt immediately and perceptibly. The dynamic response of the vehicle is thus easily modulated, favouring superior driving comfort.

ELECTRIC WITH REMOTE CONTROL

Electric with remote control

An evolution of the electric inflation system, the wireless remote control version allows air spring adjustment even from outside the vehicle, without the need to get on board. This feature makes it possible to check height variations in real time and test different configurations easily and immediately. The components are designed for easy installation and always include a manual safety control, ensuring operation even in case of need or emergency.

Self-levelling

Self-levelling

The mechanical self-levelling system is designed for long-haul applications and utilises load-sensitive pneumatic valves that automatically adjust the pressure according to the load. After initial calibration by a professional installer, the system operates completely autonomously, maintaining a constant ride height without requiring user intervention. The mechanical valves, characterised by extremely low air consumption, guarantee progressive and reliable regulation, making the system particularly suitable for operating fleets and vehicles that require constant and predictable behaviour over long distances.

Coupled

Coupled

The coupled system is designed for vehicles with twin front axles and allows simultaneous pressure management on both axles via a single control. The inflator kit integrates all the components necessary for the system, while maintaining the safety and reliability standards typical of Top Drive Systems. This configuration allows four air springs to be controlled in a simple and coordinated manner using a single control panel, guaranteeing ease of use and uniform suspension response across the entire front assembly.
